Colorado REALTORS® Offer Grants for Real Estate Education
The Colorado Assn. of REALTORS® (CAR) Education Foundation has announced a $50,000 Real Estate Education Initiative to support innovative new projects designed to educate Colorado residents about real estate. Grants will be made to qualified non-profit, government and private-sector organizations as well as to qualified individuals.
“The CAR Education Foundation is committed to educating the public with regards to the real estate industry and real estate-related issues,” said Carol Duffy, Education Foundation President. “We are proud to be able to offer funding to support this initiative,” she added.
Grant applications must be received at the CAR office by 5 PM on October 1, 2007. Application forms and additional information can be found at www.ColoradoREALTORS.com.
Since 1960, the CAR Education Foundation has funded numerous activities that educate the public in Colorado about real estate including annual real estate Career Fairs for college students, scholarships and internships for college students interested in entering the real estate field and homeownership education programs. The Education Foundation funded the first real estate Dean at a major university in Colorado and is a major sponsor of CAR’s It’s Your Move, a high school education program about buying and owning a home. Recently, the Foundation has funded home buyer counseling programs and the Colorado Foreclosure Prevention Hotline.
