Receiving College Credits

I have been doing real estae for 24 years now and given the circumstances of events in a down market, I tried to get another job that would hold me over .  When applying for another job/jobs I noticed that employers requested college diploma or equilevent .  PROBLEM is we don't receive credits for our contuing education to my knowledge it is very slim.  Yet our responsibility and cost of doing business is costly.  Has anyone heard or know if we can receive college credits for our education?  Also why is it the NAR or CAR doesn't work on the ability to receive credits, especially since we do have to keep educating ourself in the market with loans, lending, taxation, laws, etc........
